Mickey Rourke has spoken out after actress Bella Thorne accused him of disturbing behavior while they were filming the 2020 thriller Girl.
Bella Thorne, 27, made serious accusations against Mickey Rourke, 72.
She said he physically hurt her while they filmed a scene.
She shared the claims on her Instagram Story this week.
This came after she saw a clip of Rourke’s heated moment with JoJo Siwa on Celebrity Big Brother UK.
She wrote, “This f***ing dude. GROSS. I had to work with this man.”
She described a scene where she was on her knees with her hands zip-tied behind her back.
She said Rourke was supposed to use a metal grinder near her kneecap.
Instead, she said he used it on her genitals through her jeans.
“He hit them over and over again,” she said.
Thorne said the scene left her with bruises on her pelvic bone.
She called it “one of the all-time worst experiences of my life working as an actress.”
Bella Thorne shared more details on X about what happened.
She said Mickey Rourke humiliated her in front of the crew.
He allegedly revved an engine to cover her in dirt during a scene.
She also claimed he made her go into his trailer alone.
He refused to speak with the director or producers.
So she had to convince him to come out and finish the scene.
She said he shouted strange demands at the producers while she was there.
Rourke responded in a statement to Variety through his spokesperson.
He strongly denied the accusations.
“These allegations are extremely serious,” the spokesperson said.
“Mr. Rourke firmly denies any intentional wrongdoing.”
They said no one told him about any problems during filming.
He only learned about Thorne’s discomfort now.
The statement also said Rourke will not comment further for now.
He wants to respect everyone involved.
He is open to taking part in any proper investigation.
The statement ended by saying all actors have the right to feel safe and respected at work.
The accusations came as Mickey Rourke faced growing backlash.
People criticized his recent behavior on Celebrity Big Brother.
In one viral episode, Rourke made homophobic comments to JoJo Siwa.
Siwa, 21, told Rourke she was gay and had a non-binary partner.
Rourke replied, “If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore.”
Siwa shut him down right away.
She said, “I can guarantee I’ll still be gay and in a happy relationship.”
Rourke made things worse.
He said, “I’ll tie you up,” and later added, “I’m going to vote the lesbian out real quick.”
Producers called Rourke into the diary room after the incident.
They gave him a formal warning.
He apologized to Siwa and blamed his behavior on his “short fuse.”
Siwa accepted the apology.
People outside the show reacted strongly to Rourke’s comments.
Siwa’s partner, Kath Ebbs, posted an emotional video on Instagram.
Ebbs called the remarks “beyond disgusting” and “dangerous.”
Ebbs, who is non-binary, said Rourke bullied Siwa.
They claimed he acted that way because he saw her as “unf***able” and couldn’t control her.
Ebbs added, “Once she shuts it down, he says he’s going to tie her up. That is a rape joke. Call it what it is.”
Rourke stayed in the house for a while but has now left the show.
ITV confirmed he exited due to more “inappropriate language” and “unacceptable behavior,” according to BBC News.
A spokesperson said, “Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother house this evening after a discussion with Big Brother.”
They also said his language toward co-star Chris Hughes was “threatening and aggressive,” but no one got physical.
