Former Miss Finland Speaks Out After Allegedly Being Ejected from Restaurant Over Outfit Choice
Erika Helin, who earned the Miss Finland crown in 2018, recently shared her frustration and shock on Instagram following an incident at a Helsinki restaurant.
The 28-year-old model had chosen a pink heart-patterned bralette paired with a black tiered mini skirt and black heels for her night out.

When Erika first entered the venue, she was initially allowed to remain inside, but later in the evening, a security guard approached her.
She told her 116,000 Instagram followers that the guard abruptly instructed her to exit the premises without warning.
Labeling the guard a “jerk,” Erika recounted how she was “dragged out of the bar” and left speechless as he publicly scolded her attire.
He alleged she had broken the dress code, despite there being no visible rules when she first entered.
Erika mentioned that while the guard admitted her outfit wasn’t explicitly inappropriate, she would have changed had he addressed it earlier in the evening.
“In my opinion, it’s contradictory to welcome a customer and later claim their outfit is unsuitable,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories.
The model voiced her frustration, saying it felt unjust to be criticized simply for revealing skin and called it “sad” that society continues to view the female body as something inappropriate.
She reflected on how it disheartens her that people react negatively to a body that is, in her words, “naturally made.”
Having split her time between Finland and another country, Erika pointed out that dress codes tend to be more relaxed abroad compared to Finland.
She shared that the entire ordeal left her feeling “disrespected” and later called the restaurant manager to suggest how the situation could have been handled more professionally.
Her goal was to help ensure that no one else would face a similarly disrespectful removal in the future.
Erika also uploaded images of the outfit on her Instagram feed, labeling the security guard a “misogynist” in the caption.
The photos quickly ignited a heated debate online, with some defending Erika’s stance while others sided with the restaurant staff.
“It looks more like a bikini top,” one commenter remarked, criticizing the appropriateness of Erika’s attire for a bar setting.
