Lizzo is feeling “Good as Hell” and has the selfies to prove it.
The 36-year-old singer and Yitty shapewear founder wowed fans on Instagram Thursday (April 17) with two jaw-dropping mirror selfies.
She showed off her hot pink lace lingerie set from her own brand.
“Smoothing lace is back,” Lizzo captioned the post, adding a smiley face emoji.
She modeled the curve-hugging bralette and matching mid-rise briefs.
One photo showed Lizzo striking a front-facing pose in her bathroom mirror, while the other gave fans a full back view, showcasing her toned frame and cheeky confidence.
Unsurprisingly, the post sent her followers into a frenzy.
One fan wrote, “She said she’s feeling good as hell… I believe her.”
Another gushed, “Your fro! Your face! That lace!”
One user added, “BODY SO TEA I THOUGHT THE BRITISH WERE COMING.”
As of now, the post has over 227,000 likes.
For Lizzo, these aren’t just thirst traps—they’re part of a deeply personal journey.
Since 2023, the Grammy-winning artist has openly discussed her “weight release journey,” describing it as something beyond traditional weight loss.
In a May 2023 TikTok video, Lizzo explained, “I started working out for mental health… to stop feeling ashamed and disgusted with myself. Exercise has helped me shift my mind, not my body. Bodies change—that’s life.”
She emphasized that the changes weren’t about achieving a specific size, but about feeling better mentally and physically.
In January 2025, Lizzo shared she had reached her initial goal:
“I did it,” she posted. “Today, I hit my weight release goal. I haven’t seen this number since 2014! Let this remind you, you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!”
Screenshots revealed Lizzo dropped her body mass index by 10.5 and reduced her body fat by 16%.
However, she prefers not to use the term “weight loss.”
“My man, he’s so funny,” Lizzo told Jay Shetty on his On Purpose podcast.
She explained her boyfriend, Myke Wright, pointed out, “Where did it go?”
Lizzo said, “I don’t think I want to lose anything. I want to win. I want to gain.”
Wright helped inspire the shift to “weight release,” a way for Lizzo to reclaim power over her body while being mindful of her influence on fans.
She added, “Even releasing the weight has affected people, and I take that seriously.”
In September 2024, Lizzo shut down rumors about using weight-loss drugs like Ozempic with a cheeky TikTok.
The caption read, “When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.”
Lizzo told The New York Times her progress has been slow and steady through consistency and discipline.
“My body has been changing slowly, but it appears sudden when I pop out on a red carpet or go viral.”
Her fitness routine includes strength training, jumping rope, long walks, and Pilates.
She began Pilates in 2023 to heal her back, saying, “I never regret taking a walk or doing Pilates.”
While her new photos have fans swooning, Lizzo hasn’t shied away from the emotional side of her journey.
“I’m not going to lie and say I love my body every day,” she admitted.
She explained, “The way you feel about your body changes every day. Some days I adore it, others I don’t feel completely positive.”
One thing’s clear: no matter where she is in her journey, Lizzo’s message remains the same.
Confidence comes from within, and the only timeline that matters is your own.
