Kim Kardashian looked visibly annoyed after a security guard stepped on the train of her Met Gala dress.
Kim Kardashian, 44, made waves at the 2025 Met Gala on May 5 in a bold Chrome Hearts leather two-piece that matched the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme.
She wore a backless crocodile-print corset with a low-rise skirt, finished off with a wide-brim fedora, layered diamond necklaces, and dangling earrings.
The theme honored Black fashion’s legacy, with a “Tailored for You” dress code. Kardashian’s outfit echoed the zoot suits popular among Black men in the 1930s and 1940s.
Her sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner also attended, wearing Ferragamo and Givenchy.
While Kim Kardashian’s red carpet debut went smoothly, her departure from The Mark Hotel had a hiccup.
In a viral TikTok video, Kardashian was seen walking with her daughter, North West, when a security guard accidentally stepped on her dress train. The guard stumbled, and Kardashian quickly turned to steady him with a hand.
Though the moment was brief, the mogul, partially hidden behind her wide-brimmed hat, seemed stoic and mildly frustrated as she flicked her hair and kept walking.
Fans shared their thoughts online, with one commenting, “It’s the hair flick for me like boy don’t mess this up for me,” while another wrote, “Someone almost made her fall. She looks amazing!”
Met Gala mishaps aren’t new for the mom of four.
In 2023, she wore a Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown adorned with over 50,000 freshwater pearls and 16,000 crystal pearls. However, after the event, some strings at the bottom unraveled as she exited her car, according to PEOPLE.
The previous year, she made waves by wearing Marilyn Monroe’s iconic 1962 “Happy Birthday Mr. President” dress. Although the gown showed some signs of damage, Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, which loaned the dress, confirmed Kardashian wasn’t at fault.
In The Kardashians, she reflected on the experience, revealing she had tried “everything” to fit into Monroe’s legendary gown worn during her performance for President John F. Kennedy’s 45th birthday.
