Katy Perry looked overwhelmed as she stepped out of the Blue Origin capsule on Monday, wearing a figure-hugging blue spacesuit. She paused to kiss the ground in a powerful, reflective moment that became the mission’s defining image.
Clutching a daisy in her hand, Perry later revealed the meaning behind it – a sweet tribute to her daughter, Daisy, with actor Orlando Bloom.
She explained she carried the flower into space because daisies are “strong,” “powerful,” and “resilient.”
However, her heartfelt words are a stark contrast to the steamy language Perry often uses when discussing her bedroom escapades.
In 2008, Katy Perry revealed that real-life experiences inspired her hit debut single “I Kissed a Girl.”
She shared more personal insights about her sexuality during an emotional 2017 speech at the Human Rights Campaign gala.
Perry admitted she didn’t just kiss a girl — she went further. Growing up in a strict religious home made it hard for her to accept those moments.
“Truth be told, I did more than that,” Perry teased when asked about kissing a girl.
She explained, “But how was I going to reconcile that with the gospel-singing girl raised in youth groups that supported conversion camps?”
Perry added, “What I did know was that I was curious, and even then, I realized sexuality isn’t as black and white as this dress.”
She continued, “But in 2008, when that song came out, I knew it sparked a conversation that many were curious enough to sing along to.”
The singer has also been open about her sex life with husband Orlando Bloom, revealing his libido hasn’t dipped since they became parents.
She said, “He’s not changed one bit!”
Perry added, “You can’t put reins on that man! He’s a wild stallion, and that’s how I like it!”
When Perry and Bloom briefly took a break between 2017 and 2018, she ranked her former lovers’ bedroom skills. Bloom didn’t top the list; that honor went to her ex, John Mayer.
