Elon Musk once again finds himself in the media spotlight, but this time the controversy stretches beyond his usual space and tech headlines.
What began as social media chatter has now escalated into a major legal battle with potentially far-reaching consequences.
Conservative influencer and author Ashley St. Clair shocked her followers when, at 26 years old, she made a surprising public revelation.
In a statement dated February 14th, St. Clair disclosed that she had welcomed a newborn five months prior—claiming, “Elon Musk is the father.”
The post quickly went viral, while St. Clair issued a follow-up statement asking for privacy, saying, “I had not previously shared this information to safeguard our child’s privacy and safety. I now respectfully ask the media to honor that.”
Although speculation about her pregnancy was put to rest back in September 2024, St. Clair did not make an official public statement until February 2025.
Court documents revealed that the child, identified as R.S.C., was confirmed to be Musk’s after the couple began dating in May 2023, with conception taking place in January 2024.
St. Clair has since pursued legal action against Musk, filing two separate petitions with the New York Supreme Court.
Court filings indicate that Musk was absent at the time of the child’s birth, though he has met his son on three occasions, beginning in September 2024.
“The daily care of R.S.C. rests solely with me,” St. Clair states in the documents, which detail how she provides for the child’s physical, emotional, and everyday needs, including bathing and nurturing.
Initially, Musk remained silent regarding the claims, as he is already a father to twelve children with Justine Musk, Grimes, and Shivon Zilis.
However, as legal pressures mounted and media scrutiny intensified, Musk formally addressed the matter through official legal channels.
According to Page Six, St. Clair’s legal team also accused Musk of financial retaliation, claiming he “substantially and unilaterally” reduced support after the lawsuit was filed.
In response, Musk took additional legal steps as part of his defense strategy.
He petitioned the court for an order that would bar St. Clair from discussing the case publicly. However, the judge denied the request for an emergency gag order, allowing St. Clair to continue speaking openly about the matter.
Musk, meanwhile, has remained publicly silent, opting not to comment as the case progresses.
Newly released materials from Musk reveal a key legal strategy that has now triggered waves of activity across legal and media circles.
In a rare and high-profile move, Musk filed a formal request to have the paternity and custody case sealed from public access.
According to a recent Mail Online report, the court granted Musk’s request, resulting in all previously accessible documents being removed from the public record.
Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, made this decisive legal move to shield his private affairs from further media scrutiny—a step that experts interpret as a strong signal that Musk is taking the paternity claim very seriously.
Both Musk and St. Clair have issued neutral statements, indicating that the private court proceedings regarding the alleged child Musk fathered will continue for an unspecified duration.
