President Donald Trump has ignited concerns of a potential new Middle East conflict, with B-2 Spirit Stealth bombers spotted en route to the Indian Ocean’s Diego Garcia island, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Satellite imagery has confirmed the presence of at least three C-17 cargo planes and 10 aerial refueling tankers heading toward the island, a known staging ground for past U.S. military operations.
The sightings come on the heels of recent U.S. strikes on Houthi targets, as well as escalating warnings from the Trump administration to Iran regarding its support of Yemeni militants.
Adding to the tension, radio communications between the crews of two B-2 bombers, callsigns Pitch 11 and Pitch 14, and Australian Air Traffic Controllers were leaked on X on March 25. Pitch 11’s crew also reported the presence of a third B-2 bomber. The three planes refueled in Australia before continuing their westward journey.

Communication between B-2 crews and Australian Air Traffic Control was released this week.
In addition to the air traffic control audio intercepted over Northern Australia, recordings also revealed another B-2 bomber departed Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri on March 25, heading for Diego Garcia Island.
Whiteman Air Force Base, home to all 20 of the Air Force’s B-2 bombers, has been a key hub for these strategic deployments.
Air Force Global Strike Command confirmed the movements, telling TWZ: “A B-2 Spirit bomber arrived at Hickam Air Force Base. U.S. Strategic Command, its components, and subordinate units routinely conduct global operations in coordination with other combatant commands, services, and participating U.S. government agencies to deter, detect, and, if necessary, defeat strategic attacks against the United States and its allies.”
The Air Force Global Strike Command stated, “To preserve operational security, we do not discuss details about exercises or operations.”
Meanwhile, the Trump administration has come under fire after top cabinet officials accidentally included The Atlantic’s Editor-in-Chief Jeff Goldberg in a Signal group chat discussing potential war plans against the Houthis, raising serious concerns over U.S. vulnerability and national security.
After Goldberg’s report on the leak was published, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt took to X to downplay the situation, insisting the communications were not “war plans.” She wrote: “The Atlantic has conceded: these were NOT ‘war plans.’ This entire story was another hoax written by a Trump-hater who is well-known for his sensationalist spin.”
In response, Goldberg accused the White House of using semantics as “smokescreens” to deflect from the real issue of national security risks.
He told ABC News: “It’s just all nonsense. They’re throwing up all these smokescreens to avoid being questioned about why they were so reckless as to have sensitive conversations like this on Signal, and why they invited a journalist without even knowing I was there.
“I mean, war plan, attack plan – it’s not nonsense talk. ‘Attack’ is actually an accurate term for what they were discussing.”
Goldberg also pointed out that The Atlantic had released screenshots from the Signal chat, urging the public to draw their own conclusions.
He said, “I thought, at the end of the day, let the people decide. Read these messages, read the plain English, and then decide if it’s appropriate for the Secretary of Defense and the National Security Advisor to be using a commercial, privately-run messaging app that they aren’t even supposed to use. Then you can make your decision.”
