David Beckham’s ex-bodyguard has been discovered dead after vanishing in Spain.
Craig Ainsworth, a former Royal Marine, shared a chilling “last message” in his final days, deepening the mystery surrounding his death.
Craig Ainsworth’s mother, Sally, shared the heartbreaking news on social media over the weekend, following an urgent plea for information about the missing war veteran.
She had previously revealed that her son, who was battling post-traumatic stress disorder, had posted a final message on Facebook to say goodbye.
In her post, Sally wrote: “Craig has been found. With the greatest sadness, the world has lost Craig. He served in Afghanistan and he had PTSD.”
Accompanying her message, she shared a photo of him in his military uniform, adding: “RIP Craig.”
Details regarding the exact location of his discovery and the cause of his death remain unclear.
Ainsworth, believed to be around 40 years old at the time of his death, worked for the Beckham family from 2013 to 2015 when they resided in London’s Holland Park.
The former Royal Marine, originally from north London, was hired through the U.S. security firm Gavin De Becker to safeguard the Beckhams. He also provided protection for high-profile clients such as Johnny Depp, Jennifer Lawrence, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Just days before his passing, an emotional message, reportedly posted by Ainsworth, appeared on his Facebook page.
The post read: “Goodbye, Beautiful People. To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist; that is all.
“For most of you, this will come as a shock, but I’ve been in tremendous pain for the past four years since lockdown destroyed everything I had built, and I lost some genuinely amazing people I was proud to call friends and colleagues.”
He apologized to friends, family, and his “Royal Marine brothers,” adding: “Please don’t be mad or sad, I’m free now.
“You guys were the light that kept me going all this time, words are primitive when it comes to how grateful I am for you all.
“I lived the life of ten men. I lived with a pure heart and good intentions. Certainly not a perfect person, but I lived life, that’s for sure.”
The post also included his funeral wishes: “I do not want a funeral. At all. Cremate my body and throw the ashes in the sea.
“Also, please do not post about what a good guy I was or any of that nonsense. If you haven’t been there for me the past few years, stole from me, finessed me, or if I simply wasn’t worth the effort alive, please don’t pretend now.
“There’s nothing worse than a traitor’s remorse.”
Sources have suggested Michelle Obama’s recent comments could be signaling deeper tensions behind the scenes — possibly even foreshadowing a future split.
An insider revealed:
“Michelle speaking so candidly about how she supported Barack before he rose to prominence is a clear indication that financial discussions are happening in the background.
“It sounds like their negotiations aren’t exactly smooth sailing, and she may be subtly laying the groundwork to assert her claim on what they’ve built together.”
