Amber Heard took to social media on Mother’s Day to announce the arrival of her twins.
Amber Heard, 39, shared the joyful news on Mother’s Day that she has welcomed twins, completing her family.
She expressed her deep fulfillment, writing to her 5.5 million followers:
“Mother’s Day 2025 will be one I’ll never forget,” she wrote. “I’m overjoyed to announce the completion of the family I’ve long dreamed of. Today, I officially share that I welcomed twins into the Heard family.”
Heard introduced her newborns: daughter Agnes and son Ocean, saying they were keeping her “hands (and heart) full.”
She reflected on her journey since the birth of her first child, Oonagh, four years ago, and how her happiness has multiplied with each child.
Amber shared a heartfelt message about her journey to motherhood:
“Becoming a mother on my own terms, despite my fertility challenges, has been the most humbling experience of my life,” she wrote.
“I’m forever grateful to have made this choice thoughtfully and responsibly.”
She also celebrated other mothers: “To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you. Love always, A x.”
A spokesperson confirmed the news to PEOPLE, adding:
“Amber is thrilled to welcome the twins and complete her family. Mama and babies are cherishing every moment, and Oonagh is happily running the show.”
Amber’s first daughter, Oonagh Paige, was born on April 8, 2021, named after Amber’s late mother, Paige, who passed away in 2020.
Amber, who welcomed Oonagh via surrogate, reflected on her decision in an Instagram post:
“I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms,” she shared.
“I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to rethink one of the most fundamental parts of our lives.
I hope we reach a point where it’s normalized not to need a ring to have a crib.”
She added, “A part of me wants to keep my private life private, but I understand my job requires me to take control of this.”
Since her legal battles with Johnny Depp ended in 2022, Amber relocated to Madrid, Spain, to start anew.
She has maintained a low profile, sharing occasional glimpses of her life as a full-time mom with her daughter.
During her 2022 trial testimony, Amber briefly mentioned her role as a mother:
“I want to move on with my life. I have a baby. I have to move on. I want to move on, and I want Johnny to move on too.”
With the arrival of twins Agnes and Ocean, Amber now feels her dream of having a complete family has come true.
