In a post on Truth Social, Trump sharply criticized Putin’s actions. The 78-year-old former president condemned the recent missile strike on Kyiv, which hit residential areas early Thursday morning. Tragically, the attack killed at least nine people and injured over 70. This assault marked one of the deadliest on the Ukrainian capital since last July. What’s more, it occurred amid ongoing peace talks, heightening tensions even further.

Trump’s tweet pointed to his concern regarding the growing violence, saying, “There was no reason for Putin to be firing missiles into civilian areas. It makes me think that maybe he doesn’t want to end the war.” He indicated that an alternative solution would be needed to combat Putin’s aggression, citing possibilities such as bank restrictions or second-level sanctions.
