Actress Rebel Wilson reveals who took her virginity.
Rebel Wilson, 44, is best known for her roles in the Pitch Perfect series, Senior Year, and Jojo Rabbit. Recently, she grabbed attention when excerpts from her memoir, Rebel Rising, were revealed. One of the biggest revelations? Wilson shared that she lost her virginity at 35.
Rebel Wilson is teaming up with fashion designer Ramona Agruma, founder of Lemon Ve Limon, to create a sustainable clothing line. After confirming their romance on Instagram the previous year, the couple got engaged in February 2023. Wilson shared, “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess #loveislove.”
In 2022, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Royce Lillian, through surrogacy. Wilson plans to reveal more personal life stories in her next book.
In an interview with People magazine, Rebel Wilson reflected on losing her virginity later in life. She shared that it’s important for people to wait until they’re ready or more mature. “You don’t have to wait until your thirties like me,” she said, “but young people shouldn’t feel pressured.”
Wilson admitted that she once felt ashamed about losing her virginity later in life. She recalled, “I’d usually leave the room when the topic came up. People would say, ‘Oh, 24 is so late.’ And I’d be sitting there thinking, ‘Oh my God, I’m 35. What’s going on? I’m going to seem like the biggest loser.'”
Despite her initial feelings of shame, Wilson’s openness has been met with a positive response. Many on social media praised her honesty. One person wrote, “She’s lovely and waits for the best things in life. I really respect that.” Another added, “Nothing wrong with that! I wish I had waited too! This really supports her experience in a positive way.”
In her memoir, Wilson reveals that she lost her virginity to actor Mickey Gooch Jr., known for his roles in Deported and The Trial of the Chicago 7. The two were romantically linked after sharing a scene in the 2015 film How to Be Single, alongside Dakota Johnson.
Wilson addressed Gooch directly in an excerpt from People, saying, “Micks, I know this might be news to you if you’re reading this, but yes, I lost my virginity to you.” She continued, describing the experience as a significant moment in her life, where she finally felt the connection and emotional chemistry with him, even feeling cherished despite her insecurities.
Wilson’s memoir encourages others to embrace their unique journeys, free from societal pressures. Through her experiences and introspection, she aims to inspire self-acceptance, resilience, and the courage to follow one’s own path.
