As President Donald Trump and Melania Trump touched down at Fiumicino Airport on April 25, a brief exchange caught attention. When Donald asked, “Ready?”, Melania quickly replied, “Of course,” according to lip-reading expert Nicola Hickling.
As they exited Air Force One, Donald kept chatting, telling his wife, “It was a good flight, thank you.” He added, “We will see you when we meet Macron,” hinting at their upcoming meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump traveled to Italy to attend Pope Francis’ funeral. The late pope passed away on April 21 after suffering a cerebral stroke that led to heart failure.
On April 26, thousands gathered at St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican for the funeral service. Reports say around 250,000 mourners attended to pay their final respects. Later, the former Catholic Church leader was transported to the Papal Basilica of St. Mary Major in Rome for burial.
Donald Trump stood among world leaders at Pope Francis’ funeral, joining dignitaries from the U.K., Spain, Hungary, Argentina, and France. However, Trump stood out in a blue suit while most others wore black.
Interestingly, Trump and the late pope often clashed over major issues like immigration, climate change, and migrant treatment. Their differences remained a notable backdrop to the president’s appearance at the service.
Before Donald Trump took office in 2016, Pope Francis criticized his campaign promise to build a wall, calling it “not Christian.” Trump quickly fired back, labeling the pope’s comment “disgraceful.”
However, after Francis’ passing, Trump put their differences aside. During the White House’s Easter Egg Roll, he honored the late pope, calling him “a very good man who loved the world and cared for those struggling.”
After landing in Italy, Donald Trump faced questions from reporters about meeting other world leaders during the funeral trip. He quickly shut it down. “Frankly, it’s a little disrespectful to have meetings at a pope’s funeral,” Trump said. However, he noted he would still “be talking to people” and “seeing a lot of people” during the event.
I’ve yet to see anyone appointed to the Trump administration worthy of the job. No one including top military officials are educated in their appointed field. How are we making America great again? I honestly want to know? Trumper wants Americans to believe he is thee Almighty great one, and he is NOT. He is a delusional infinite spoiled child in a old mans body.
