Virginia Giuffre is reportedly in a “very bad situation,” according to her lawyer, following a severe bus crash. The mother-of-three, who was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and accused Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her at the age of 17, is currently receiving medical treatment in the hospital. She has reportedly claimed that she has “just four days to live” after the accident.
Virginia Giuffre shared a disturbing photo of herself from a hospital bed on March 30, showing visible bruising. In the caption, she expressed her wish to see her children “one last time” and revealed that she is suffering from kidney failure. She wrote: “They’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology. I think it’s important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110 km/h while you’re slowing down for a turn, no matter what your car is made of, it might as well be a tin can.”
Giuffre expressed that she was “ready to go,” but not before she could see her children one last time. She also took a moment to thank her supporters for being a “great part” of her life.
In response to her post, her former lawyer Brad Edwards described the situation as “very bad,” but expressed hope for better news in the days to come, stating that they were hoping she would recover with the help of medical care.
Giuffre’s publicist, Dini von Mueffling, provided an update, saying, “Virginia has been in a serious accident and is receiving medical care in the hospital. She greatly appreciates the support and well wishes people are sending.”
Details about the crash remain limited, and the exact time and location of the incident are unclear.
Giuffre’s father has publicly stated that he is “praying” for his daughter, who has claimed to be estranged from her three teenage children after separating from her husband.
This incident follows Giuffre’s accusations against Prince Andrew, alleging that he sexually abused her when she was 17 during her travels with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
One of the most infamous pieces of evidence in the case is a photo of Prince Andrew, Epstein, and Giuffre. In the image, Andrew is seen smiling while holding Giuffre by the waist, a photo he has denied any knowledge of.
Prince Andrew avoided a public and damaging court battle over the allegations made by Virginia Giuffre when he agreed to pay her millions in an out-of-court settlement three years ago. However, he denied the sexual assault claims.
This settlement marked the first time that the Duke showed any form of contrition regarding his association with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Prior to this, Andrew had defended his relationship with Epstein, describing it as having “seriously beneficial outcomes,” despite the accusations of sexual abuse.
Giuffre first filed a lawsuit against Andrew in August 2021, marking the first legal action she took against him since publicly coming forward with her allegations in 2011.
She claims she was trafficked by Epstein and forced to have sex with Andrew for the first time at Ghislaine Maxwell’s London home, following a night out at the Tramp nightclub. Giuffre also alleges that she was coerced into sex with the Duke on at least two other occasions by Maxwell and Epstein.
She has stated that she feared for her life during these alleged encounters and believes Andrew was fully aware of her age and her status as a “sex trafficking victim.”
